Week 3 Adaptation

Animals need to adapt to their environment to survive.

We will be looking at how the short necked giraffe died out as the long necked giraffe was better suited to its environment.

You will be looking into different animals and sharing back to the class what you have found out.

This WEBSITE has fantastic information about adaptation, and how animals have evolved over time.
It looks at a very famous person called Charles Darwin who studied this in great detail.

Week 1

This week we are looking at different ecosystems (pictures below) and describing what they look like, their characteristics, what animals live there, what the rainfall and sunshine is like. We will be discovering these in groups and sharing this with the class and posting the information on here.

In reading we are looking at the short and long tailed Eel in New Zealand. We will be looking into the habitat of the Eel and see why it is endangered and needs our help. More info coming soon...
